Apple Picking Season Is Here!

The first apples of the season are ready for picking at a few Maine apple orchards close to Birch Point including Thompson's Orchards (10 miles away in New Gloucester) and Wallingford's Fruit House (13 miles away in Auburn). Ginger Gold, McIntosh and Cortland are the first available in late August/Early September. Come back in late September/Early October for Gala, Red Delicious, Empire and Golden Delicious. Since conditions are always changing, we recommend calling ahead to confirm website hours and current picking conditions!
